Doyenne Sport are delighted to announce our collaboration with ShePlays, the Fantasy Football site focused solely on women's football.
The admins at ShePlays are avid Matildas fans and passionate supporters of women’s sport. While following the Australian W-League in 2017 they realised there was no publicly available fantasy competition for women’s professional sporting leagues in Australia, or elsewhere in the world. The team at ShePlays believe that 'running a fantasy competition is a fun way that we can help to increase interest in women’s leagues and promote the talents and successes of the players'. Their aim is to provide a website and build a community that does just that. Their plan is to grow ShePlays into a hub for information, statistics and coverage on female sporting leagues, and build detailed profiles of professional sportswomen. ShePlays 'is committed to being a positive, welcoming and supportive platform for sports fans from all over the world'.
At the start of the 2019/20 season, the ShePlays team launched their first WSL Fantasy League, and we couldn't have been more excited! We've teamed up to provide fans with the opportunity to enter a Doyenne Sport mini-league, and take on former pro Ella Masar and her 'VF-Ella Wolfsburg' fantasy team. We're hoping that a selection of Ella's friends and former teammates don't let her down!
